Got hygge?

There are very few experiences in Seattle like sleeping on a houseboat, very few houseboats available for vacation stays, and only one houseboat like ours! There are just over 500 homes available to live in on Lake Union, and perhaps 30 rent short-term. We put extra care into creating the coziest experience for your visit, with many spots to curl up with a book, or with a special someone.

Seattle Lakeside Lovenest underwent a huge transformation in early 2018, and we're eager to share our quintessential on-the-water Seattle lifestyle with guests from all over the world.

Our boat is within walking distance of Seattle’s funkiest neighborhoods, and a quick Uber to downtown. We have the best food, best coffee, best beer, and great wine, plus a water way of life that you can’t find anywhere else. #seattlelakesidelovenest

Recently remodeled

Recently remodeled, we want our guests to enjoy a cozy romantic getaway on the water, with all of the independence that comes from staying in a vacation home away from home, but with the design touches of a boutique hotel.

Home comforts

During your stay, you will have access to the entire houseboat and its amenities: kitchen, living space, two sleeping areas, bathroom, washer/dryer, and lovely views of Lake Union from our rooftop deck-lounge.

Unbeatable location

Seattle has the world's best combination of natural beauty (mountains, water and forests), museums and attractions, incredible restaurants, bars and cafés. When you book, we'll have great recommendations for you of places to eat and things to do. With no fewer than three ways to make coffee on our cozy boat, you'll have plenty of fuel for your adventures!

Important: Rules to observe during your stay

This is a quiet marine community. Please respect this by keeping the music, etc. quiet after 10 PM and generally be respectful to the neighbors. Please do not feed the ducks. Wandering or loitering on the docks is prohibited. No additional guests are allowed on the property without prior host approval. We strictly enforce this rule. Fine for violation up to $250, plus $20/guest fine, and fines for any additional damages.

Beside from the neighbors, the marina is connected to a large building with restaurant and event venue on the top floors. Once in awhile, they host events (sometimes with loud music if windows are open) that run late into the evening, as late as midnight. All of the marina community has to sign in the lease that they agree to  not complain about the music. You as a short-term tenant fit are a part of our lease agreement. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We have noise canceling earbuds on board for your use.

This is a houseboat and while the staircase to the top floor is very manageable, it should be noted that it is a steep ladder and therefore not ideal for guests with mobility issues.

Sorry, but pets are not considered. There are no life jackets on the boat. We also do not wish to host toddlers or young children staying on our boat, as one, unsupervised, wrong-step could result in tragedy.

The toilet is a marine toilet. Absolutely no feminine products or anything besides basic toilet paper are to be flushed at anytime, no exceptions. This could destroy the toilet and they are very expensive to repair. Thank you!

There is no smoking at all on the houseboat (indoors or outdoors) or anywhere on marina docks. The rule is strictly enforced. If violated, $250 minimum fine plus any other potential damages.

Other things to note:

We happily welcome people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, and ethnic groups.

No parties, smoking, or candles aboard the houseboat in the private and quiet marina. These rules are strictly enforced and subject to a fine, please see house rules below for more details.
